The Board of County Commissioners approved a Mobility Fee Ordinance, changes to the Impact Fee Ordinance, and amendments to the Comprehensive Plan. They also held a first public hearing for changes to the Land Development Code. A second public hearing for changes to the Land Development Code will be scheduled.

The Board of County Commissioners approved setting public hearings on April 26 for a Mobility Fee Ordinance, changes to the Impact Fee Ordinance, amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, and changes to the Land Development Code.

The Board of County Commissioners approved setting a public hearing on April 27 for a ½% Transportation System Sales Surtax Ordinance.

County staff presented a proposed phased implementation consisting of increased mobility fees over five years, phased buyback process for existing impact fee offsets over three years, and grandfathering of existing developer agreements for five years.

Discussion on Community Transportation Plan and continued Phase 2 community engagement to complete 10-year transportation project list to accompany proposed sale tax referendum, including 56 additional Project Specifics meetings at libraries. Hillsborough County Administrator discloses $325,000 will be required to complete Phase 2 community meetings, cost shared with Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority, Plant City, Temple Terrace and Tampa. Hillsborough County share of Phase 2 cost are within administrative approval authority and a work order is being developed for Parsons Brinckerhoff.
